Marlie Mul

Utrech, 1980

Her work is based on the transformation of consumer products and how they are presented to us so that they look attractive. The artist begins with these products and shows us how they can turn into something rather unpleasant after having used them.

In this way, she transforms cigarette butts and plastic bags that end up in puddles on the ground, into the absolute protagonists of an exhibition, through sculptures, installations and impressions on silk. Raising them to the category of works of art.
