Nagore Amenabarro

Amezketa, Guipúzcoa, 1986

She studied Fine Arts at the University of the Basque Country, in 2009 she received an Erasmus scholarship to study at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris. Since then, she’s taken part in several artistic residencies abroad, the most recent ones taking place in Turkey and South Korea. Her work has been part of collective exhibitions in several different countries. She has also held individual exhibitions in various galleries around the Basque Country.

She has recently been part of a collective exhibition at the KOLDO MITXELENA Cultural Centre in San Sebastian where she was selected alongside a number of other young artists from the Basque Country.

In 2008, she won the first prize for young artists at the Tamayo Outdoor Painting Contest in San Sebastian. Currently, she is studying for a Master’s Degree in Painting at the University of the Basque Country, combining it with the position of teacher at the Bayonne School of Art.
